Amber Canavan is Associate Director of Vegan Campaigns for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). She is a former cruelty investigator, and animal and environmental activist with over two decades in the animal rights movement. At PETA, she has helped campaign to get soy sauce giant Kikkoman to pledge to stop testing on animals for health advertising claims for its products, spearheaded the campaign to get Starbucks to end its upcharge on vegan milks, and has coordinated the rescue and transport of hundreds of farmed animals to adoptive homes and reputable sanctuaries.
